My Sister's Closet

BWSS Retail Program Volunteer Opportunities:

The staff and volunteers at My Sister's Closet and MSC 1092 (opening July 2007) represent the widest diversity in our communities, women committed to customer service and who know about fashion while staying true to our key message of ending violence against women.  

•  Two Locations - Commercial Drive and Yaletown
•  Upbeat retail environment
•  Make a difference in women's lives through the finest thrift fashion
•  Be part of a dedicated team of volunteers working toward ending violence against women
•  Volunteer Opportunities available seven days per week, including evening and weekends.

Volunteer positions include:

•  Sales and Customer Service
•  Visual Merchandising
•  Merchandising
•  Third Age Program (for women 55 and over), and
•  Participation in community service/practicum or school related volunteer hours.  

Each position comes with its own set of responsibilities and expertise, and requires a specific time commitment. We are dedicated to providing you with superior training that you will be able to use anywhere, and to allow you to develop and build on your current skill set. These positions may be held by women only.

The BWSS Retail Program is extremely busy and caters to a diverse demographic therefore BWSS Retail Program Volunteers will have a natural love for working with people from all backgrounds.
