Video/Digital and Social Media

2018

For thousands of women and their children across Canada there is no “Home Sweet Home”.

Every week a woman in Canada is killed by her intimate partner.

Five children in every Canadian school classroom have witnessed their mother being assaulted by their father or father-figure.

Preventing Violence Against Women – It’s In Your hands

Each year we commemorate Prevention of Violence Against Women Week held in April.

During Prevention of Violence Against Women Week we engage our on and offline communities in violence prevention by remembering we all have a role to play in preventing violence against girls and women as individuals, in our relationships, in our community, and in society.

This social media and poster campaign engaged, empowered and raised awareness to end gender based violence.
