BWSS is asking municipal leaders and candidates across BC to publicly commit to naming intimate partner violence (IPV) as a priority in their policies and, if seeking election or re-election in October 2026, in their platform.

Our five policy asks are:

1. 1 Establish a Municipal IPV Task Force
2. 2 Support Community-Based Services
3. 3 Strengthen Local Data Collection
4. 4 Invest in Prevention Education
5. 5 Establish Independent Oversight
