Support BWSS by Bidding in the Silent Auction

The Celebration of Resilience silent auction is more than just an opportunity to take home unique items and experiences; it’s a chance to create lasting impact. Every dollar raised through your bids will directly support Battered Women’s Support Services, ensuring that survivors of gender-based violence have access to safe housing, crisis support, and vital programs on their journey to healing and empowerment.

Together, our goal is to raise funds through the auction. Your participation will provide life-changing resources for women, children, and communities. By bidding generously, you are standing with survivors, celebrating resilience, and fueling the movement to end violence.

Why We Gather

Nearly half of all girls and women in British Columbia have experienced intimate partner violence.

This year, the BC government declared gender-based violence a national epidemic. For those of us who see the impacts every day, this is not new rather  it’s an emergency that reaches into every home, every workplace, every neighbourhood, and every community.

On November 25, we gather under the light of resilience — to honour survivors, to celebrate hope, and to carry forward the work of change.

This event marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women — the first of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence observed around the world.

“This is a night to celebrate our collective strength and power the movement for safety and justice”
