Special Guest Speaker Janet Freeman 
Janet worked in public libraries and took training in peer counselling before taking the BWSS training in 1984 and joining staff in 1987. She was the Support Group Coordinator as well as a Counsellor and Advocate, and the first BWSS Newsletter editor. After leaving her staff position in 1997, she worked at Legal Services Society as a Legal Information Outreach Worker, then was hired by B.C. Courthouse Libraries to coordinate a provincial program to promote legal information in public libraries.
