Shakti Society and Battered Women Support Services have partnered to present a forum on Sexual Violence. We have been in an ongoing struggle to address gender violence which is an epidemic in Canada and all over the world. The recent atrocities in India have brought together more women and men with the goal to put an end to this gender violence. Through this event we will strengthen our conversations to involve the community at large to address the issue of sexual violence here in Canada. In this forum, we aim to strengthen an open dialogue to encourage the community to talk about the impact of gender violence on each one of us and discuss strategies for change.
Please join us to engage in a meaningful dialogue to explore how you want to create safer communities.
