July 15th – August 15th, 2022

Sweat to Support Survivors fundraising challenge enters a third year and we are thrilled!

What is it all about?

In 2020 Lucy MacDonald, a committed community member and BWSS supporter, created #SweatToSupport so her and her friends could raise much needed funds for survivors of relationship violence.

It was a fabulous beginning.

“I started Sweat to Support to raise awareness about something I feel strongly about and to give voice to an issue that many people find it difficult to address.” Said Lucy MacDonald, founder. “The negative stigma associated with domestic violence makes it harder for those in need to reach out for help or to ask for support.”

Sweat to Support Survivors has turned into an incredible way to take action on domestic violence in our communities. Our Summer 2022 challenge goes from July 15th to August 15th and our goal is to raise $50,000.

“I hope that this small awareness campaign I started three years ago will be a small step in the right direction and I hope that we take many more steps, raise our voices and our heart rates to support survivors of domestic violence.” – Lucy MacDonald.
